Our mission is to ensure that every individual has access to the care, support, resources, and community recreational opportunities they need to live a fulfilling life.

Meet Our Founder
With over 50 years of combined experience, our team brings practical insight and steady support to every family we work with. We focus on creating personalized care plans built on respect, inclusion, and genuine connection—so individuals can live with greater confidence and independence.
Leadership
The people leading Southern Choices of the Coast bring extensive experience in developmental and intellectual disabilities services, care coordination, and Medicaid systems. Our goal is to make sure every individual and family receives the support and answers they’re looking for.

Tyler Dorn is the Founder and Executive Director of Southern Choices of the Coast. Originally from New Glarus, Wisconsin, Tyler earned his B.A. in Psychology from Augsburg University. His passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities is deeply personal—shaped by growing up in a large family with siblings who experienced both intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges.
With over a decade of leadership experience in community-based care, Tyler previously worked with industry leaders doing community based home operations, overseeing services that helped individuals with disabilities live independently. His early work includes therapeutic recreation and inclusion programs for youth with disabilities, as well as international service in Kenya and Mexico.
Tyler is committed to building inclusive communities through compassionate care, advocacy, and meaningful engagement. He currently serves as President of Kiwanis of Effingham County and sits on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers (GACCP).
Outside of work, Tyler enjoys golfing, running, traveling with his four children, and spending time at the beach or Disney.

Originally from New Glarus, Wisconsin, Dave now resides in Jefferson with his wife, Heidi, and their three children—Olivia, Violet, and Cruz. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll University in Waukesha, WI.
Before joining Southern Choices of the Coast, Dave built a robust 27-year career at American Family Insurance. Over the course of two decades, he held various roles in Information Technology, followed by five years in Human Resources as a Business Systems Analyst, where he specialized in aligning technology with organizational needs.
Outside of work, Dave enjoys golfing and cherishing quality time with his family—especially during their favorite vacations to Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Shelly Wamba brings decades of nursing experience and a deep-rooted love for rural life to her role. A proud graduate of Statesboro High School (Class of ’93), Shelly began her healthcare journey early, earning her CNA certification while still in school. She went on to complete her LPN in 1998 and her RN degree in 2003.
Since 2008, she’s shared life on a working farm with her husband, Jason “Woody” Wamba, their daughter Cassidy Rae, and a lively crew of animals—including horses Studly and Kat, two Heelers named Daly and Rojo, and one feisty tomcat. Shelly enjoys the rodeo circuit, where her husband competes as a team roper and also serves as an announcer and judge for ranch sorting events.
Her career is driven by compassion, community, and a deep understanding of both medical care and real-life caregiving.

Darlene Glemboski is an experienced nursing professional with a strong background in both hands-on care and leadership. She earned her BSN from Armstrong State College in 1988 and completed a dual master’s degree in Nursing Administration and Nursing Education from the University of Texas in 2013.
She spent over 20 years at Memorial Health University Medical Center before transitioning to home care, where she has worked for the past six years. A lifelong Savannah resident—aside from her time in the military—Darlene is deeply connected to the community she serves.
She and her husband, Gary, have been married for more than three decades. Outside of work, Darlene enjoys reading, sudoku, hiking, and playing Phase 10 and Texas Hold ‘Em with friends.

As Operations Manager at Southern Choices of the Coast, Stacy Smith plays a central role in keeping daily operations running smoothly, supporting both internal teams and the families SC-Coastal serves. With a strong background in financial systems, administrative leadership, and office management, Stacy ensures that processes are not only efficient but also deeply aligned with SC-Coastal’s values of compassion, inclusion, and personalized care.
Before joining Southern Choices, Stacy built a diverse career in financial services, including roles as a Branch Manager, Accounts Payable Specialist and Financial Analyst. Her ability to navigate both numbers and people with equal skill makes her an invaluable part of the leadership team.
Stacy is known for her calm, solutions-focused approach and her dedication to creating a work culture that is organized, respectful, and people-first. Outside of the office, you’ll find her enjoying time with family and friends—recharging through connection and community.

Mary Jo Boyles brings more than 15 years of experience in healthcare, wellness leadership, and community-centered care to Southern Choices. A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and former United States Army medic, Mary Jo has dedicated her career to improving the health and well-being of individuals across both military and civilian communities.
With extensive experience spanning health education, employee wellness, clinical care, program management, and military health systems, Mary Jo is known for her ability to lead with both compassion and strategy. She has doctoral-level training in health promotion and wellness, with specialized strengths in program development, implementation, evaluation, and team leadership.
Throughout her career, Mary Jo has successfully led cross-functional teams, developed sustainable wellness initiatives, and supported organizational health strategies that drive meaningful engagement and measurable outcomes. Her passion for people and commitment to service align closely with the mission and heart behind Southern Choices.
After retiring in Pooler with her husband following his military career, Mary Jo quickly recognized the deep impact Southern Choices has within the community. She was especially drawn to the organization’s commitment to inclusion, advocacy, and meaningful community engagement.

Originally from upstate New York, Jaclyn is a proud Fort Ann Central School graduate with a strong professional background in medical and home care billing. She began her career managing physician and hospital billing before transitioning into accounting and billing for the home caregiving industry—a field where she found a deeper purpose supporting compassionate care.
Nearly a decade ago, she made the move to Savannah, where she met and married her husband—jokingly noting that her beloved pets, McCartney the dog and Lennon the cat, still hold first place in her heart. A true bookworm, she prefers the feel of paper books and is an avid consumer of true crime—whether through documentaries or podcasts. When not engrossed in a case or chapter, she enjoys spending time outdoors, working in the yard alongside her family.
With a blend of northern grit and southern charm, Jaclyn brings dedication, humor, and heart to her role—ensuring every billing detail is handled with precision and care.
